Mondays in Aberdeen

Where: Downstairs at the Quaker Meeting House, 98 Crown Street, Aberdeen, AB11 6HJ. The entrance is at the bottom the stairs that lead off from the car park on the left of the main door.

When: At 7.30 p.m.

Sunday Retreats
These are held once each month, starting at 10.00 a.m. On many Sundays Rev Favian Straughan, a Buddhist monk in the Order of Buddhist Contemplatives, will lead the Retreat. Sunday Retreats involve a morning of meditation, a short ceremony and a class/discussion on an aspect of Buddhist teaching.
Next Retreat: Sunday 27th May, from 10.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m. After the retreat finishes at 1.00 p.m., all are warmly invited to stay on for lunch, and then join in a short walk . Lunch will be the normal “soup and sandwich” meal, so if you plan to stay on please bring a sandwich.
Annual Scottish Sangha Retreat
The annual Scottish sangha retreat will take place in Banchory from 5.00 p.m. on Friday 8th June, until 1.00 p.m. on Sunday 10th. Rev Favian will lead the retreat which will be residential with all meals taken together. There will be a small charge to cover the costs of food. There is a limit of 12 places on this retreat, so if you are interested in taking part, please register your interest as soon as possible. To register, please contact Rev Favian on 0131 669 9622.
